Alanna, as we don't usually see her...

There's plenty of fanart featuring Tamora Pierce's Alanna (of the Song of The Lioness books) in her guise as a page, a squire, and finally a female knight... but not many pictures show her dressed as a girl, even though it happens several times throughout the books.

This picture shows Alanna on her seventeenth birthday, when she secretly puts on a wig, cosmetics and a beautiful dress and sneaks around the palace in disguise... only to be caught and recognised by her best friend Jonathon! Text reads: "Alanna slid the wig from her hair. 'How did you know it was me, Jonathon?'"

HB and 2B on watercolour paper, spot-coloured in Photoshop (because Alanna just isn't Alanna without that hair and those eyes!).

Alanna looks gorgeous! Her eyes are beautiful, and I like how her hair looks, very cute and sweet cropped like this, but could still work in her boy desguise. Great pose!
